I’m a Gen Zer, and I work in fashion—this combo usually results in an overflowing IG Saved Folder full of chronically online pop culture references, niche ’90s archival fashion, and the latest Gen Z celeb outfit ideas. The latter of which I’m saving with the hope of recreating one day.
IMO, the best Gen Z outfits border the line between effortless and intentional. A pair of relaxed, ripped jeans should be casual, yet paired strategically with a well-fitting white T-shirt. Layers should look cohesively chaotic. A studded belt fastened over a sweater? Yes, please. And the use of funky tights should never be overlooked.
In 2026, Gen Z trends rely on silky silhouettes and interesting textures to stand out. I consulted my Saved Folder and fellow Gen Z fashion editors to find which Gen Z celebs accurately represent our generation’s style. Iris Law, Laufey, PinkPanthress, Alex Consani, and Lily Rose Depp, to name a few. Quietly influential, these Gen Z-popular artists are inadvertently cool. Think wacky color combos, contrasting prints, vintage references, and a blind belief that their audience is comprised of fashion people who “get it.” Scroll down to see which Gen Z celeb outfits we’re saving to wear in 2026.
10 Cool Gen-Z Celeb Outfit Ideas to Re-Create in 2026
Iris Law

“For me, Iris Law is a personal Gen Z style icon. The way she layers her clothing—especially sweaters, accessories, skirts, jeans—all on top of each other really makes me think on how intentional you can craft your outfits, each piece working in tandem to create a new, cohesive look you’d never otherwise style together yourself. It feels very Gen Z—like so much is going on at once—but that’s the beauty I find in it!” — Ana Escalante, associate features editor

If it is Alex Consani throwing a ‘fit, you better believe I’m seated. Spotted last winter during NYFW in an oversize sweater, sheer lace midi skirt, moto boots, and a shoulder bag, Consani serves an effortless modern model-off-duty look.

Laufey

I won’t lie, it’s hard to settle on just one Laufey look since (unsurprisingly, of course) the Icelandic singer-songwriter has an unmatched level of style. From her red carpet looks (I’m still thinking about her mermaid-esque Miu Miu look from the 2026 Grammy Awards) to casual everyday looks like the one above, Laufey is certainly one to watch in Gen Z fashion.

“I’ve been into wearing fun tights to make a minimalist outfit more interesting (aka the tights are the outfit). My favorite pair are an argyle pair from Swedish Stockings! like on Lily-Rose Depp here.” — Audry Hiaoui, associate shopping editor

Clairo

If I’m on aux, you can count on Clairo being in the queue. Not only is she one of my favorite artists, but I’ve also always admired her sense of style. Her ability to make a simple white t-shirt and jeans look purposeful and chic should be studied.

“Paige Lorenze as of recently has been in my recent screenshots folder. From styling vintage graphic tees to putting me onto matching sets from Instagram viral brands, I know I can rely on the dairy boy founder for effortless but chic looks that are easy to recreate with items in my own closet.” — Daniela Guevara, assistant social media editor

Ruby Lyn

This effortlessly cool ‘fit has found its rightful home in my IG Saved Folder, waiting to be re-created when I finally get my hands on a pair of vintage Chanel Cambon Ballet Flats. Ever since I saw Ruby Lyn style them with a fur coat, black sweatpants, and an oversize camo shirt, I’ve been on the hunt. I wouldn’t be surprised if this archival flat becomes a 2026 Gen Z must-have.

Sabrina Carpenter

The excellence and intricacy of Sabrina Carpenter’s on-stage fashion isn’t up for debate. But I would argue that her off-stage outfits are just as fabulous. Specifically, this blue mockneck sweater dress is paired with a vintage-style purse.

Emma Chamberlain

You can’t talk Gen Z fashion without mentioning Emma Chamberlain. A founding member of the community, Chamberlain—dare I say—is always in competition to top her last look. This office-siren, all-black ensemble might just be my favorite. It is sensual and sultry, rooted in powerful styling details like the pointed-toe heels, tiny frames, and sheer tights. Chamberlain’s fashion always feels intentional and prosperous. Below is how I’d re-create the look.
